Account and Data Deletion Request

Information required for your request

To match your request with the correct account, include the following information in your email:

• The email address or phone number used for your WishMate account
• Your username, if available
• Whether you want to delete the entire account or specific data
• For security, we may ask you to verify that you own the account

Delete your account in the app

If you can access your account, the fastest path is the in-app deletion flow:

• Open WishMate and sign in to your account
• Go to Profile > Settings > Delete Account
• Complete the steps on the confirmation screens

Associated data that will be deleted

When account deletion is completed, the following data categories linked to your account are deleted or made no longer associated with you:

• Your profile information, username, preferences, and settings
• Your wishlists, WishItem records, and list content
• Your profile, wishlist, and WishItem images
• Your friendship, notification, gift request, and event participation records
• Your session, device, and push notification tokens

Data that may be retained

Some limited data may be retained temporarily for legal obligations, security, or fraud prevention:

• Records that must be retained by law
• Security, abuse prevention, and audit records
• Anonymized analytics data that can no longer identify you

Processing timeline

After we receive your request, we complete the account verification step and process deletion within a reasonable time. We will notify you by email when the request is completed.
